- 14 oz firm tofu
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 scallions, chopped
Instructions
- Press the firm tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture. Cut into even cubes.
- Toss the cubed tofu with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- Heat sesame oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
- Fry the coated tofu cubes in a single layer until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side. Flip gently to avoid breaking.
- While the tofu cooks, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and chopped scallions in a small bowl.
- Once the tofu is crispy, pour the sauce over it in the pan and toss gently to coat. Cook for an additional minute to heat through.
- Transfer to plates and garnish with extra scallions if desired.
