Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). If using, place your pizza stone inside to heat.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface into your desired shape. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess grease if needed.
- Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by the cooked sausage.
- Add sliced bell peppers and sautéed onions over the sausage layer.
- Top with remaining mozzarella cheese for that perfect cheesy finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
- Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve with extra pizza sauce if desired.
